Categorical syllogism have two premises and a conclusion that describe the relation between two categories. An example of categorical syllogism would be:
1.All men are mortal
2.Socrates is a man
_______________
Therefore Socrates is mortal
Condition syllogism like categorical also contains two premises and a conclusion but the first premise must be in the form ''if... then''. An example would be:
1.If it is a chair, then it has four legs
2.It is a chair
_____________________________
Therefore it has four legs
1.All men are mortal
2.Socrates is a man
_______________
Therefore Socrates is mortal
