Re: List the Gestalt grouping principles that we discussed.
The Gestalt Laws of Organization and the basic idea about them, there 6 most common Gestalt Laws of perceptual organization :
1. Law of good continuation -
It predicts that what we perceive is based on what usually heppens in the environment. We see things in a way to follow the smoothest path.
2.The law of familiarity - Things are more likely to create/form groups if the groups appear familiar or meaningful (Helson& Hochberg)
3. The law of similarity- Similat things also appear to be grouped together.
4. The law od Pragnaz "good figure" = the law of simplicity - Every stimulus pattern is seen in such a way that resulting structure is as simple as possible.
5.The law od proximity or nearness -things that are near to each other appear to be grouped together.
6. The law of common fate -It states that" things that are moving in the same direction appear to be grouped together".
Those laws have use in our everyday life and in many situations even though we may not be aware of it.

Re: List the Gestalt grouping principles that we discussed.
-Proximity-> things that are close to one another are more likely to grouped together, that is to be perceived as a whole than things that are farther apart (e.g. dots in rows are closer together horizontally than vertically)
-Uniform connectedness-> e.g. dots in rows forms vertically that overrules proximity
-Colinearity-> lines group when their orientation are close to that of a neighbour's
Line termination-> e.g. groups dots into columns
-Good continuation-> e.g. groups dots into 2 intersecting lines like stops on a subway map
